Are you finding it hard to teach your children values, to get them to listen to you or just get along?
Are you looking for new parenting tools?
Are you frustrated and want to do it differently?

Come learn about Positive Discipline and how it can make a difference for your family. This class offers an opportunity to join a community of parents and receive support as you explore parenting in a way you may never have thought possible!

In this year-long series participants will learn:
**Different ways to use positive language to promote cooperation and respect.
**Alternatives to traditional “time out” that helps children develop self regulation skills.
**How to create routines that work for the whole family and how to teach expectations in a mutually respectful way.
**How to create individual family meetings that will be used to solve problems, plan events, and have fun!
**How to solve problems with making agreements and how to uphold them.

What is Positive Discipline?
Positive Discipline is an approach for working with children in a way that is neither permissive nor punitive, but rather
teaches problem solving, relationship building, communication, cooperation, and other crucial social skills. The tools of
punishments and rewards are replaced with teaching tools and specific techniques that will encourage children to become independent, respectful, and thoughtful individuals.

PGO Seeking Volunteers

Please let the PGO know (email: crockerfarmpgo@google.com)  if you can help with any of the following:

*data entry, office-type tasks:   We had a number of tasks (some little, some big) that we could use help with.  Most of them can be done from home, whenever it works for you.

*Web site:  A parent who helped with the web site and our blog postings had to step down and we are looking for someone new to help.   Work can be done remotely, whenever it is convenient for you.  Typically this involves a 1-2 hours a week or less.

*Photo project:  We are seeking someone to make an photo album/scrapbook of last year's mural project, to showcase all the work that went into it & all the students who participated.   The album/scrapbook will be kept at Crocker Farm for everyone to see and enjoy.

Thanks in advance!
