School is finished for the year but the Crocker Farm Garden is just getting started!

This summer the Crocker Farm Garden will be filling with seeds and plant starts that will mature when the students and staff return for the new school year.

However, the lettuce and radish the students planted at the end of the school year are ready to be harvested NOW.  If you find yourself passing the school consider stopping in to harvest a head of lettuce (pull the whole plant) and a couple of radish and while you are there you can pull a weed and soak up the sights and sounds of our growing outdoor classroom.

Many students visited the garden this spring and will be familiar with the borage and nasturtium flowers that are now in bloom and the herbs that are beginning to spread.  Check back for more harvest updates - the cherry tomatoes will begin to ripen in the next 3 weeks.

Enjoy!
