AyreCraft will perform a concert of English and Scottish songs at Wildwood Elementary School this Friday. The program will include songs from the late 16th and 17th-century heyday of the lute and theorbo in England, chiefly by Francis Pilkington, Thomas Campion, John Wilson and Henry Lawes, as well as popular songs of the Restoration period from the collections of Thomas Durfey. The Scottish repertoire is selected from published sources of the late 16th through early 19th centuries.
AyreCraft is a duo consisting of tenor Donald Cotter and lutenist/theorbist Robert Castellano. (Mr. Castellano is one of the instrumental instructors at Wildwood.)
Suggested donation is $5 per person.
