The Amherst Local Cultural Council has awarded Crocker Farm $500 to help subsidize the cost of attending UMass Fine Arts performances for our students. A big thank you to the Amherst Cultural Council! and thanks as well to Ms. Zsigmondi, parent Isolda Ortega-Bustamante, and others who worked on the grant application.
Crocker Farm will be sending each K-6th grade class on one field trip to the UMass Fine Arts Center this school year. The K, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade classes went to a performance in the fall, and the 3rd, 5th, & 6th grade classes will attend one next month. Grants such as this one, and other donations/grants, help keep these field trips affordable and accessible to all our students. To send every Crocker class to a UMass Fine Arts Center show for schools costs close to $2700 in total for the tickets. These trips wouldn't be possible without this outside funding.
