Youth Flag Football Clinic

The Town of Amherst Leisure Services in cooperation with Amherst College head coach EJ Mills and the Amherst College coaching staff is introducing an instructional program to teach the game of non-contact flag football to boys and girls of all abilities in grades 1-6. This program is for kids who are interested in learning the sport or want to improve their skills in a fun and interactive environment. Coach Mills has been the head football coach at Amherst College for 14 years. In his time there he has received numerous accolades including the American Football Coaches Association Division III Region 1 Coach of the Year and D3football.com East Region Coach of the Year. The flag football concept allows children to learn and develop the necessary skills and concepts in a safe and fun setting with no equipment necessary (cleats recommended). Each child should bring a water bottle. Every participant will receive an authentic NFL jersey with registration. The coaches will divide kids by similar age and ability.
