All Amherst families to attend the First Day Celebration taking place Thursday, September 1 on the Amherst Town Common from 5:30-7pm.
We will gather in a unified show of support for our schools.
The sole purpose of this event is to foster community spirit and demonstrate enthusiasm for and commitment to the education of our students.
Get takeout from a downtown restaurant and enjoy a picnic on the Town Common. Enjoy FREE games, crafts, musical performances, police and fire demonstrations and more!
The Amherst Lions Club will conduct free vision screenings for adults and children.
Free parking and shuttle bus service is available at Amherst Regional High School beginning at 5:15pm.
In addition, please donate NEW underwear for men, women and children to the Amherst Survival Center’s “Foundation Initiative: Underwear & Dignity for All”. Volunteers will collect these items.
