The Crocker Farm Garden

These long hot days of summer may be causing you to seek air-conditioned spaces but the plants in the Crocker Farm Garden are loving the heat. If you find yourself near the school, check in and see how things look, grab a few cherry tomatoes, snip some herbs for dinner, and pull some weeds from the rock paths or raised beds.

This week the edamame (soy beans), cucumbers and carrots are sprouting.

The herbs - sage, thyme, mint, chives - are growing quickly and will benefit from regular snipping so feel free to help yourself to what you need (take an inch or two off of any healthy stem but leave enough for the plant to keep growing).

Enjoy!
