The Lift Every Voice Singers
K-12 Chorus
The acclaimed Lift Every Voice Singers will perform at the African American
Achievement Awards Night on May 7. Students who identify as Black or African
American in Grades K-12 are encouraged to join this choral group.
Under the direction of Dr.
Richmond Ampiah-Bonney, the Lift Every
Voice Singers will learn the songs Lift Every Voice & Sing and To Be Young, Gifted and Black. The group will perform at the African
American Achievement Awards Night on May 7 at Amherst Regional High School
Auditorium (21 Mattoon Street) at 6pm.
Rehearsals are scheduled for March
31, April 7, 14 and 28 and May 5 at Amherst Regional Middle School Auditorium
(170 Chestnut Street) from 3pm-3:45pm. Parents/guardians
are responsible for transporting their child(ren) to and from ARMS for
rehearsal.
