Subjects include intimate details of insect life, leaves changing color, and butterfly wings. Many have been exhibited at the National Academy of Science's Annual Arts in the Academy show, Cornell University, and at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

Tom Eisner is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Chemical Ecology at Cornell University whose photographs have adorned 15 covers of Science magazine. He is a world-renowned animal behaviorist, ecologist, pioneer of chemical ecology and insect chemical defenses, and recipient of the National Medal of Science.
