Hosts needed for Japanese students

Hi, sorry if this is a duplicate e-mail!!! We have some great kids (around 15 to 16 yo) coming in from Japan from 3/22 through 3/28 or 3/27--have to double check. They shadow high schoolers, go to Boston and hang with host families. We've been doing this for several years and Becky has made some great friends she still corresponds with. Mark Jackson has been nice enough to have them shadow at ARHS last year and more than likely this year also. You are responsible for feeding them but treating them just like you do your own kids--they just want to be integrated into our life...it's really cool and these kids are kind and respectful. You get a stipend of $30/day (for 2 students--I believe most of them come in pairs from this group) and they have been coming every year from this school. It's through a company called PeopleLink and I help recruit and then teach English if they are around longer than this homestay..also they bring their own money if you want to go out to eat or anywhere else so you don't have to pay for anything but their food...they also sleep anywhere--it's weird but we've had kids sleep on mattresses on the floor, air mattresses---even with beds available.

We also have a welcome party and a farewell party so everyone can get together (in Amherst area) and on weekends you can get together with any friends who host to do things (Yankee Candle, etc.)
Many of you have hosted in the past, and if you can help or know of someone who can please let me know-and if you want to opt out of any of my e-mails just let me know and I'll take you off the list-

Thanks so much!!
