The Jones Library presents
QUATTRO COR: From the Forest to the Concert Hall--A History of the Horn.
Saturday February 9, 2013, at 10:30 AM in the Woodbury Room. For ages 4 to 10
and their families.
Hornists
Jean Jeffries, Rebecca Krause-Hardie, Christine Mortensen, and Margot Rowland
take a fun and lively look at the horn from its early use outdoors to its
arrival and development in the concert hall. Featuring garden hose, conch
shell, alphorn, natural and modern horns.
This
performance will combine lecture, music and demonstration.
